Debra L. Winegarten
Sociosights press founder Debra L. Winegarten, a third generation Texan, was the author of six award-winning books. She founded Sociosights Press in 1998 when she published her first book, "Strong Family Ties: The Tiny Hawkins Story."
In the twenty years that followed,
she embraced the role of publisher as her own writing career flourished. She was a consummate extravert and delighted in writing, marketing, doing project management and public speaking, and she believed that books could change the world. After her passing in 2018, her beloved heart partner and wife, Cindy Huyser, also an award-winning poet, took over the reins of Sociosights Press.
